Sylvia Cooper is an abstract collage artist living in Toronto, Canada. She creates multi media works of modern art combining printed images, digital art, photography, paint, and various other techniques. By layering colour, texture and context, her work culminates in statements which are rich in both imagery and composition.
Sylvia began her art studies at the Ontario College of Art Design in Toronto. She then designed and created jewelry for private boutiques in the Toronto area and larger retail chains with stores across Canada including Club Monaco, Caban and Faces.
Sylvia then honed her artistic skills and was introduced to collage art by her private tutor, the esteemed internationally recognized artist Diana Nastic.
She has been, and continues to be inspired by artists such as Andy Warhol, Julian Schnabel, Cy Twombly and Helen Frankenthaler
